A webhook recipe will detect and retrieve newly generated Alerts, Stories, or Leads and send the information to specified recipients via email.
To create an email recipe from template:
Step 1: Open the required template
From the Hunters menu, navigate to Workflows > Workflow Manager.
Under Projects, navigate to Automated Workflows > Email.
Locate the recipe you want to create (Alert, Story or Lead), click on the … menu and then select Clone. This will ensure you don’t override the template so you can use it again in the future.
Rename the recipe and click Edit.
Step 2: Connect your Hunters account
💡TipIf you’ve already connected Hunters to a recipe before, you can simply select the connection from the list and skip to the next step.
Follow these guidelines to create a Hunters API token with a Customer role (or higher).
Copy the Client ID and Client secret provided in the token creation process.
Navigate back to the recipe and click the Trigger step to edit it.
On the right side panel, name your connection and paste the Client ID and Client secret in the appropriate fields.
Select your Region based on the region set up for you upon Hunters tenant creation.
Click Connect.
Step 3: Set up email addresses
From the recipe flowchart click step 3 (Send email via Workato) to set up the email options. This will tell the workflow where to send the information to.
On the right-side panel, add recipients’ email addresses separated by a comma.
💡More options
You can further adjust the email settings by following one or more of these steps:

You can design the email using HTML by editing the existing HTML in the Message field. You can also use a simple text email by switching the Email type field to Text.
Add CC and BCC recipients
Click on Show additional fields to add the CC and/or BCC fields.
Step 4: Save and activate the recipe
- Once done, click Save and then Exit.
- Now click Start recipe to activate the workflow.
