# Configure password history policy

This capability is available only for users with Customer Admin role.

Define how many unique passwords a user can set before setting one that was already used.

**To configure password history:**

1. From the platform top bar, click your name and then click **Administration**.

The Administration window opens.
2. From the left side menu, click **Security**.
3. Under the General Settings tab, click the edit icon next to the **Password History** option.

4. Enter the number of unique passwords required before a user can repeat a password and then click **Save**.
